Mr Matt Roberts

Psychological Performance Coach

Matt Roberts is our psychological performance coach. His unique understanding of the mind means that conversations truly have the potential to transform.

As an ex International high Jumper his career started slowly, at 19 he had a pb of a mere 1.95m. Recognising the need to exploit every potential margin of gain he searched for the perfect mindset over his 15 year career. his career best was 2.26m, making the top 20 UK All time list and just 3cm short of what won Olympic Silver 2 years later.

However In the year that followed his best Matt ruptured a disc in his neck, leading to surgery and its replacement. An injury that would end many careers, Matt started from scratch - eventually clearing 2.25m before retirement. His persistence and resilience were realised through the discovery of a new understanding of psychology. This lead to training in America with Pransky & Associates and in the UK with David Key.

Matt works to educate on how our psychological system really works, directing his clients to their source of flow and peak performance.

Dr Karan Carrington

Dr Karen Carrington

Psychology & Motivational Specialist

Karen is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with a depth of experience – in psychology, in business and in life. She works with Private Individuals, Couples, and with Individuals and Groups in a Business Environment.

She has helped people resolve a wide range of problems – big and small - that had not just held them back from achieving their goals and fulfilling their potential, and being happy; but often caused considerable distress. For example:

Work Related Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, Phobias, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), Confidence and Self Esteem, Physical Health Problems, Weight, Addictive Behaviours.

Making the right changes offers a solution to our problems; and psychological insights can help us in both our personal and professional relationships and activities. Karen helps you explore the changes you need to make, and discover how you can put these changes into action to lead a more satisfying life.

On a personal level, Karen instigated changes in her own life when she was no longer fulfilled by how she was spending her days. After graduating in 1979, she worked and travelled internationally for two years, gaining experience of ‘blue’ as well as ‘white’ collar work. She returned to the UK to build her career, and gained in-depth business experience in blue-chip corporate environments: Direct Sales; Technical Sales; Marketing and Business Development; culminating in starting up and running her own company - which is still going strong today.
Since re-qualifying as a Psychologist, she has worked both in the NHS and latterly in private practice - including consultancy work for the UK Home Office and West Midlands Police. Karen is trained in a range of approaches, but is best described as an ‘integrative’ practitioner; which means she can tailor her approach to fit the needs of individual clients, rather than trying to fit ‘square pegs into round holes’.

Her mantra for her approach is : I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I do have a lot of information and experience that can help you find your answers.
